More Moss! DIY Easter Napkin Rings & Centerpiece

Year after year Easter continuously sneaks up on me! This is documented by my lack of blog posts on Easter items over the years. Last year, I had such a fun setup, but didn't have a chance to write it up! I did manage to share these super simple DIY Easter Egg Teacups!

This year, I am keeping the DIYs easy, too. Sometimes less is more friends. Here are two moss-inspired projects you can make with a few supplies that have a high impact on your Easter table. Both projects require a budget of $10 or less!

Moss Bunny Napkin Rings

What You Need

2 packages moss bunnies (Hobby Lobby)

1 package steel rings (Hobby Lobby)

Hot Glue Gun

Heat up that hot glue gun and get to work! I recommend laying down a rubber mat or cardboard with wax paper over the top to avoid any heat warping of your surface.

Apply a generous amount of hot glue to the back of a moss bunny and hold in the steel ring until secured. That's it! And to think packages of 6 napkin rings can cost $20 or more! These similar Pier 1 napkin rings retailed at $3.95 a piece! This is my second time making festive napkin rings and I'm starting to wonder why I haven't done it more. You might remember these DIY Firework Napkin Rings I made over the 4th of July last year. Hmm, what occasion to make them for next!?

Gold Bunny & Moss Centerpiece

I love crafting an easy centerpiece. I've had fun making a few with a wooden box that my husband made in shop class in high school. You can see a few of theme here and here. Last year's Easter centerpiece also featured the wooden box. This time around, I decided to switch things up. I snagged a beautiful wooden piece on clearance at Target around the holidays and have had fun styling it in different ways. It's the perfect size to create an EGG-cellent Easter centerpiece.

What You Need

3 Thrift Store Bunnies

Gold Spray Paint

Bag of Floral Moss (Dollar Tree, $1)

My girlfriends know me well enough now to ask before throwing out or donating old decorations! One of my friends was getting rid of some bunnies she'd painted a few years ago and grabbed these three freebies knowing I could put them to use. Thrift stores are also great places to find Easter decor that you can spruce up.

Many of the vintages bunnies you find are pretty colorful. While I love a good pastel, sometimes you are looking for something a little more chic. I had some gold spray paint leftover from this Kentucky Derby centerpiece from last year that I thought would be perfect for the bunnies. A quick spray covered them up.

Once dry, place the bunnies among the moss in your display bowl of choice. Feel free to add any number of Easter decor to the moss to create your own spin on this DIY idea!
