Chris & Holly
His Story
Chris was born in Illinois and moved to Minnesota with his family in 1997. Like Holly, Chris also began his college career somewhere else (University of Illinois) before making his way to the University of Minnesota. At Minnesota, Chris majored in Management of Information Systems at the Carlson School of Management.
Beginning in high school Chris had the opportunity to start working at a local IT company, Bailiwick. He worked there throughout college and was offered a full-time position upon graduation. Although Chris has held many roles at the company throughout his time there, he is now the Manager of Configuration Services. Chris manages a team that configures IT equipment for large companies before it ships to the customer's sites for installation.
In addition to work, Chris is completing his MBA at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He expects to graduate in the spring of 2017.
In his free time Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hosting game nights and poker nights, and doing projects around the house.

About Us ...
Her Story
Holly grew up in Iowa before moving to Nebraska where she graduated from high school. After graduating, Holly began college at the University of South Dakota. After a year and a half there, Holly transferred to the University of Minnesota where she completed a journalism degree. During her undergraduate years, Holly was actively involved in the college newspaper and her sorority, Pi Beta Phi.
After graduation, Holly attended law school at the University of Minnesota where she completed a dual degree earning her both a law degree and a Master's in Mass Communication. She began her career practicing law at two large law firms in Minneapolis. Last year, Holly transitioned to a non-practicing career where she focused on attorney training and development. She recently started a new position as a trainer at Thomson Reuters in its Legal division.
In her free time, Holly enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and creating projects that you might see featured on her blog, Legally Crafty.

Our Story
Chris and Holly could have met many times as they had been at many of the same events over the years. Thank goodness for the Internet! They both decided to try their luck at online dating and met on eHarmony in early 2014. After a few messages back and forth, they decided to meet for their first date on May 19th. Chris picked Excelsior Brewery for their first date, but unfortunately it was closed! Lucky for Chris, Holly still got out of her car despite Chris picking a place that was closed. Instead, they walked over to a little pub called Jake O'Connors and had a great time getting to know each other.
Over the next year they enjoyed many experiences together including Twins games, concerts, trips, and getting to know each other's family and friends. In early 2015 they decided purchase a home together and moved into lovely 1950s rambler in Minnetonka.
After living together, their path to marriage continued when Chris proposed on October 9th. Chris and his family decked out the backyard with lights all across the backyard and fire going on the beautiful fall night. Holly came home surprised to find Chris sitting in the clubhouse of the playset build by the former owners waiting with champagne and a beautiful ring. It was a truly magical night!
